Padlet, a good idea

 Hello, again...


    Today me and my friends Büşra Hazal and Elif tried using the app Padlet. Padlet is a platform that can host many walls at the same time. It is also beneficial to use and strengthen a student's 21st century learning skill collaboration. 



    Our task was simple. We did a KWL activity. You choose a topic and do these 3 steps. Write what you know, what you want to know, and what you learned. It helped us to see our prejudices can be misleading. We also learned more about unemployment in Turkey which is a hot topic on its own.


    I must emphasize the use of Padlet because it is a simple task. All you need is an account to sign in and you are good to go! You can make a wall about any topic you want, anytime, anywhere. It even has a mobile app that you can download and use.

      Hello, again...     This week we made a PSA video with my friends Bora and Eren. We choose animal adoption as our topic. At first, we gathered up some information about animal adoption. Then, we recorded our voices and found some copyright-free pictures online. Working with them was fun! Hello Again!!

      Hey, I thought my job here was done but it seems like I am mistaken. I don't know the duration but I'll be here for some time.      This week me and my friend Polat designed a corpus-based material using SKEll.       Overall, it was a fun experience. We made activities for English language learners about the topic relative pronouns. We used Canva like always and you can see our finished product here.                Our target audience was anyone who has the proficiency level to understand the topic and we tried our best to make it interesting by adding bunch of fun pictures. We also chose great examples as a cherry on top. It was a great opportunity in terms of collaboration and as a future teacher candidate it was beneficial as well.       Hello, again     To be honest, I don't even know why I always say "hello again". Maybe it was funny thought but I don't really laugh at it anymore. I'll stop using it I guess. Now that I've talked about this concern of mine, let's talk business.      This week me and my friends Bora and Polat made a worksheet that consists of AR and VR teaching materials.  But what is AR or VR? AR, also called augmented reality ; involves the immediate utilization of data presented as text, graphics, audio, and other virtual enhancements combined with real-life. So, the real world and the digital world is partly intertwined. VR, on the other hand means virtual reality  is a computer-generated 3D environment that allows users to navigate and engage with a simulated environment, closely resembling reality as perceived through their senses.  We found 3 videos and 2 of them has 360 degrees view accessibility.
